James Greenfield

James studied at the Royal College of Music and TrinityLaban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. He has played chamber music with various groups all around the world including concert tours of China, Africa and even for performances in the Arctic Circle. He is a regular guest on the television programme Dave Gorman’s 'Modern Life is Goodish' with the Billroth Ensemble.

For the last few years he has performed at the Thursford Christmas Spectacular and he has worked for recordings and performances with Rick Wakeman, The Puppini Sisters and X factor. When he is not playing he is usually found teaching, either on education projects or running string orchestras. He is conductor for ProCorda’s Young String Experience and has been a resident musician of Lauderdale House since 2013.
